Do you have specs on what you used to make it? Instructions or notes? I'd like to make something metal and more like that as well. Although I'd still be using the 4" SCT MAF I'm using.
Those HP numbers seems really low to me, I am running the KB 2.6L Stage 2 on my stock bottom end and first dyno pulls were 491 rwhp / 421 rwtq, I then added Kooks long tubes, no tune and ran 496/426 with 11 pounds of boost and an 11:1 AFR. I am getting ready to drop in the Comp Cams Stage 2 NSRs in and a quick tune to see how far over 500 rwhp I can get in the stock shortblock.
@maxdmax
4.10 will sap a little power on the dyno.
Did you buy the kit new? I can't remember. I'm running the pulley it came with and typically don't hit over 8.5psi. Makes me wonder if the stage 2 throttle body makes a bigger difference than their documentation seems to indicate.
I wish KB was better about explaining things in their documentation. They are pretty clear about not exceeding redline and they refuse to raise the limiter over stock in their tunes. But they never really explain exactly why. Is it a limitation of their tune, not enough fuel capacity with the stock kit components, etc.?
So I have about 8-9 months left until I blow it up with the "3 year rule"?You will be out of Fuel Pump or MAF before you just out right blow it up. I made 507 rwhp for 3 years on stock motor.
