Never enough power guy!
Damnit.
Dam Billy, that really sucks. Maybe time for a iron block and a diaper under the oil pan.
Yep, as much as I hate to scrap the crank support. I feel it is causing more damage then good. I won't really know till I tear it down next Saturday. Should be really interesting to see what made the hole in the block. It looks like your typical broken rod scenario, but I have Manley Billet I beam rods, I can't imagine one of them breaking.Sucks
As far as a swap to a turbo, that is not happening right now. I feel like the car is where I want it to be power wise if I can keep the motor together. I just ran a 1.31 60 ft leaving at 2500 on the foot brake! I will have to look at the log and see how much boost it launched on. The boost curve is amazing with this 3.4 pulley. Boost was 23-24 psi on the run and only dropped to 21.5 on the 1-2 shift.
I feel like I want to rebuild it as is without the crank support, but more cubes was in the plan for this winter anyhow, so IDK. I have a perfect 07 block in my garage right now.
