I know he'll go into more detail about it; but I talked to him about the MSD COPS the last time I was at the track with him and he hasn't had any issues with them.

Looking good man !

Thanks.

Glad to see this back together so quickly.
I haven't started it yet, big day tomorrow! All I need to do now is reinstall the fuel tank sending unit, add fuel, and water. Then cross my fingers, watch the oil pressure gauge, cross my fingers and turn the key. Sounds easy when I type it! LOL

It will start and run just fine. You've done this enough times to know there won't be any issues.

BTW how many times have you built a motor for this car? Can you remember? Lol.

4 times!

This one hurts the most though as it was by no fault but my own stupid mistake. It was a strong motor and was beat to death for about 15 months. I would be more confident spraying it with the 75 shot on Monday if it was a month ago. I don't enjoy building cars on a garage floor at this point in my life!

I like to drive them more then build them now! LOL

You've blown a motor and rebuilt it faster than I can lay a coat of wax on mine and take it off! hahahahaha

Amazing.:thumb2:

Okay, I got the transfer pump installed this morning and then after lunch started the car. After smoking out the neighbors for 30 mins and killing every mosquito for miles, the oil finally burnt out of the exhaust pipes. Man was that a stressful time!!! I was really beginning to doubt my work on the motor!

I let the car warm to temp and then kept the revs above 2k for several minutes. Then I let the motor cool for one hour. Then I took the car for a 30 mile cruise while varying rpms and lots of decels. Then I got in it a bit with some harder pulls to 6k or so. Tomorrow I will do the first WOT pulls while data logging the pulls.

So it started right up just like it always does, no worries. Good to hear everything is working as it should.

It did throw a couple codes, ( p0104, p0107, p0110), but after checking some the MAF plug was not seated correctly. LOL

Just LOTS of smoke! Haha

I will get some GoPro videos tomorrow.
