Finally have a weekend off and getting some time in the garage!

I installed the new black carpet today and will finish the seat delete carpet tomorrow along with the motor assembly so I can install it next weekend.

I need to find a good seat mount for my Jegs race seat. It has one on it but is not raised on the back side like the s197 requires.

I also did some work on my JPC intake since it did not turn out so well from getting ceramic coated at Polydn. I am very unhappy with the quality of the valve covers as well! I have always had a good experience with Polydn till now. I am smoothing the top on the intake so it will not have the pits in it and Polydn is going to recoat the intake and valve covers.

I should have the interior and the motor done tomorrow along with the parts ready to go back to Polydn for recoating. Besides the pits the ceramic coating looks sweet on the intake.

Looking great! Hopefully I get to see here run at the track this year! I'll have to pop my head in here to see when you hit up Ennis. Nice work.

Looks awesome Brother! Good luck with it all.

Thanks.

Stay tuned here and I will post up before I head to the track again.

I can't believe they sent it back to you like that with the big run in the top.

What is worse is I went there and picked them up! They had everything raped up to send back to me except for the intake though because he wanted me to see the pits that showed up after sand blasting. They were hard to see before it was coated though. Im guessing there was some filler used there before.

Going to wrap up this rear seat delete and cover it with black carpet this morning. The carpet I put in the front is nice for someone who wont have a pass seat. It is pre molded but you have to cut the holes and ect. where you need them. That allows you to keep a solid look on the pass side. Very happy with it. I will post a better picture tonight after the rear part is done. Still need to find a bracket to get the seat where it needs to be.

Looking good except for the power coated item. Can't believe they send them to you.

Yea that was some shit. I am thinking about chrome again. Chrome intake, valve covers, and headers. IDK yet.

Here is the progress from today, I didn't get to the motor, but it is ready to go. The seat delete turned out nice! I am very happy with it. Also rewired all the stuff that used to be in my console. Next week end I will get the motor wrapped up and back in the engine bay.

I saw a viper the other day that had his intake nickel plated. Pretty good look. Just an idea.

That is very nice! You got me thinking... I just think it would look nice in the engine bay with the headers, intake, and valve covers all matching. Sure it looked nice before, but I like shinny shit.

I know what you mean about all of them matching. I agree, that is the best look. Especially on how clean under your good is on person. Immaculate!

Well as always life and mainly work has put a halt to my car. I am off this weekend though and got to work. I hope to crank it next weekend if I can get the valve cover and intake done by then. I may just install them as is and get it running and then figure out what I want to do with them.

While I still haven't done anything with the intake and valve covers. I need to figure out what I want to do fast because I finished the motor today and it will go in the car tomorrow!

The interior is just lacking a couple switches and I have some seat brackets on the way that should be here Wed.

Also just a reminder, when you get new plugs and gap them, always check the porcelain. I had one out of 8 bad out of the box. I always tap the plug on the bench before I gap them to check.

I also am redoing the way my crank support attaches so the belts can be changed without removing the radiator. That is the problem when you build custom parts, there is always something that you could have done different. I just need to tap the large spacers so bolts can be installed from both sides instead of 1 long bolt going all the way though both plates. I will post pics tomorrow after it is done before I drop the motor in the car.
