Tr6060- few notchy gears, something weird going on with the clutch or TOB at low speeds.

If its in first gear, WITH the clutch pushed,coming to a stop,at about 3-4mph I can feel a pop, then it acts weird in first gear and hard to go into second....if I make a complete stop in neutral then put it in first gear it drives perfect....so for now I have just learned to drive it that way...not pulling it until it gets hotter outside when I drive it less.

I wish mine had waited till it was hotter out and I was less pressed to get to the track. The cool air only lasts so long around here.

Yup, it's starting to get hotter here now...but got a track day at Sebring end of may so I'm holding off till after that. I'm converting the car over from drag to more road course duty....tired of breaking at the track,lol!ive made 4 pass's in the last 2 years....

Okay the trans is out and going to my buddy in Dallas tomorrow so start the fix there.

I was really supprised at the cause of the oil leak! It was all my fault on the engine assembley. I didnt make sure the rear oil galley plug was flush with the block before I installed the rear main seal plate and that left the top of the plate open. I was worried about blocking the oil passage in that port. I removed the plug and ground down the face so I wouldnt have to turn it in any further and still clear the oil passage. Here are a few pics of the issue.

Acually it was pretty easy! The car was already on the stands and I had it out and the rear main issue resolved in about an hour and a half. If I had a lift and a shop these things would be 1 hour jobs and I would be like, "Well the trans broke today, should have it fixed tomorrow and ready to get back to the track on Fri." LOL



I so need to build a shop!!!

Good deal on the oil leak...like it when it's easy.

As for the shop......well I have a 28x36 man cave with a 2 post lift, heated floor and so on. The lift is really a back saver but with 5 other cars in my house it seems there is always something else on it. So as I'm laying on the floor yesterday taking the rear end out of my stang and thinking why the hell am I doing this laying on the floor.......maybe a second lift would be a good idea

Or I could say, 27 psi,302 stroker with everything, F1a Procharger, 50 shot+, 1000rwhp+. Take everything out of the car that is not needed at ther track.

My vote. I love seeing full trim cars going fast. There are plenty of stripped down, all out race cars out there.
