I have a new customer who is running......................wait for it.......................35lb of boost on stock gaskets! WTF?!?!?! That's amazing!
I'm thinking you will be good with those.
I would be happy with 30psi but the ups jackasses are taking forever to deliver my manifold...
Anyway, Billy did you heat cycle those gaskets then re torque? That is a must using those gaskets. Sorry to hear bro.
I am thinking of Dee modding mine and buying a newer c6 zo6. Constant waiting and delay after delay yadda yadda has sucked the passion out of it again. I go thru this about every ten years and nothing ever changes.
My motor is ready btw. Prepped block, 10.5 diamond custom pistons from l&m, l&m custom cams, fox lake cnc'd ported heads with all the bells and whistles, Manley I beam rods, kellogg crank and tons of other shit all new. No expense spared.. best of what money can buy
First off, stop with that bowtie blasphemy. And yes, they where torqued after 3 heat cycles. Sucks to pull the Procharger to do it and not see any more movement.
Damn. Yeah I figured you knew about that. Really sucks to hear bro. There's a guy in Dallas with a block I could probably get in touch with him if you need.
And the z is the only chebby I would ever drive
Send me his info just in case. And yes, I understand, I work for a guy with an 08' Z06 with heads, cams , and a ported intake. It is nasty for what it is. With a Procharger, well Im just sayin...

Yep! Blows boost right to the coolant tank.
Damn man, I just don't know what to say. I would be on suicide watch right now.
Copper head gaskets here for 3 years and my car hits the track almost every weekend. I did have a issue 1 year later after install and that was cause my fan stopped working and overheated the motor. I made passes without fan on and I got coolant in back cylinders. It got really hot. I reringed and kept same orings in and no issues for last 2 years. On old turbo I seen 24psi many times. I wonder if your leaking past the oring where the two points meet together?
I 45* the stainless wire on each end when put together. How tight did the stainless wire go in to the grove on your block? I followed instructions to a Tee on iskys site and used 4blades total when cutting them in the block. When I worked at the machine shop we did a lot of blocks with copper and orings and never seen an issue.
Your the first failure I heard about.
Also the depth of the oring is critical. The issue your having could be a result from that.
I asked my old boss before and he told me that you could still use the block that was cut with multi layer gaskets.
Only reason I oring my motor is cause I worked at a machine shop and I did a lot of them with my supervisor.
I thought you could tag weld the block.
Just buy my coyote block that just came out and see the light![]()

Just buy my coyote block that just came out so you will have one that cracks

Just because I got kicked in the nuts buy a 9 yr old girl, does not mean I need to change my build. What the hell do you think I am, Obama?![]()
