Man Billy I feel for you. I would have (& did) give up long ago. I admire your perseverance.
If you are going to back to mls gaskets, you can use aluminum devcon in the o ring grooves. The cte is similar to the block.

Can you still go back and o-ring the heads too? The BHJ tool is freggin expensive but that was the only way I was going to do it. My machinist refused to touch my block with the other tool. Only problem is then you have to trust that will do the trick.
Probably best to just grab a new block and ditch the o-rings all together. I have vacation to burn. Obviously you know what you are doing but I could come down and lend a hand to speed things up
lol! well we are all wishing you good luck!
I have been following along this whole time , good luck thats bad ass on 7 cyls

Is that your best 1/8 to date? Thanks, its a 8 second car with the 5.78 pull. I just hope the low mph was because of the bad cylinder. Either way the car was faster then anything I have ever been in, that is fact. I will be back at a track on March 13th or 14th in preps for the TX2K the next weekend. This car cannot mist that event! I am going either way but, I need my car there, this is what I built it for. Street cars racing stupid fast at a track! It makes me want to put the 20" DRs back on and hit those Friday night races running mid to low 9s on the 20s and watch as the bets fly...![]()
Yes, best previous was 5.9x. The mph is down for a 5.78 but the car was hurt so we shall see weekend after next what its got in it.Is that your best 1/8 to date?
Good luck getting her back up Billy.
Thanks!Been following your build for some time love your setup, wish my car ran 5.78 In the 1/8th with 8 cylinders lol. That's fast for 7 cylinders, might need some nitrous to get me there with this 2.8kb.

Damn Billy, you are the man. Most mortals would have burned it to the ground long ago.
Keep at it. When you get that beast sorted it will be epic!!!
