BBB Big Bore Boss 322
I'm contemplating going with a different cam. My current cams are more suited for forced induction with the lsa and icl (229/236 @ .050" .535/.550 108icl 113lsa). They work just fine but I'm thinking of something a little more suited to n/a.
Lunati is on the radar. Specifically 21270716

I'm wondering if anyone is running Lunati with their 3v and if so what was the quality like? Did you degree the cams and if so how close were they to advertised icl?
The higher lift of my current cams isn't creating much of an increase in flow based on the advertised flow numbers of my heads. I'm also thinking that I'd be a little better off with a 102 icl that I can retard with the phasers for higher rpms. The slightly lower lift of the cams I'm looking at would be easier on the valve springs and phasers. The increased duration should make up for any airflow loss the slightly lower lift would be responsible for. I'd like the lsa to be a little closer for scavenge effect but 112 should work just fine, especially with the longer durations.
My main concern is how close are Lunati cams to their advertised specs generally speaking? Degreeing the cams would be a good indicator of how accurate the grinds are.
I don't want to degree them, lol. Another option is a custom grind from Comp or someone else. Comp used to have a page for ordering custom grind cams but it's not on their webpage any more.
