So sorry I had been quite about updates on the supercharger install. It was installed and I did get the tune files, but nothing was working. Then I had no time to look at it.
Well I got a little time today and I knew it could only be in one a two areas, the first was the TPS sensor, I thought maybe I got it on wrong - this was not the case as it is nearly impossible to do without being an animal.
The other was the ETC (I have no idea what that stands for - Electronic Throttle Control maybe?) harness, there is this little 6" extension harness, I was never able to get it to click in but it was seated pretty well.
So today I spend a little time looking that over - I took it off and tried to plug it into itself (as its just an extension, think plugging an extension cord into itself) even that would not work, there was 2 'polarizing' ears on it, I trimmed 1/4" inch off each and bingo it fit. connected it back up and had throttle control again.
So I flashed the car with the stage 1 tune.
My personal opinion - its is way less than I expected from the kit, the car actually felt stronger and faster with the SCT base 93 octane tune and the 4.10 gears.
BTW - Someone asked what it sounded like - well the answer is I can not even hear the Supercharger. I have 2 MINI Coopers with Supercharger and you can hear them scream, this makes no noise I can hear, actually a little disappointing. I do have the stage 2 Pulley that will make a little more boost (and hopefully noise). But if you wanted Stealth this would be the kit.
NOW that being said, I did notice that the Edelbrock tune seems mild and I think they have made it so that it is not very aggressive so you are not tearing up transmissions. I already have the Stage 2 kit here and the Edelbrock tune already so I am going to install all that when I get a chance and see how that feels and if that is still garbage then I am going to VMP in New Smyrna Beach to get a Dyno Tune done.
