It's good they are handling it, but it doesn't sound like they are doing a good job avoiding it if they caused damage on opposite corners of the car.

99% of the time the car has been up in the air on a lift with another car under it but a few times they have had to roll the car outside to use the lift on other cars so the car has been barely moved, but it still got damaged.

They handle so many cars that this is going to happen, it happens at all shops at some point but it just sucks that I always have the bad luck, the heads are another example of my luck.

Good news is that after these issues are corrected and the car isn't right someone will be getting a sick deal on a crazy car because I'm done.

Update.... First 3 second start up resulted in broke follower, 3 bent valves. That lead to finding heads weren't decked flat so I had shop tear short block completely apart had rods aren't within spec. So new rods, machining agd valves are being done.

So over this project.

I'd be beating down doors of the guy who built the motor. You seem to be encountering one problem after another from one person or anothers negligence and halfassedness. If you decide to part it out and bail on it (I'd rather see it finished), I might be able to help you get rid of some parts, and gwt some stock stuff to sell it.

Yes I took a chance on a SD Wheeler short block that passed trough 2 members before me. I knew the risk but I though I would give it a shot. For 3100 I thought it was a fair risk.... I was wrong. I had a great guy tear short block down and sent into machine shop to check machining and balanced. He then spec all parts in the block and the rods were a bit small and allowed a small amount of side movement on the crank but we thought it would be ok so I sent heads out to be ported and built with new parts.

Once motor started the follower just broke and it doesn't look like anyone's fault, just bad luck. I am running PAC nitrate springs so there's a lot of seat pressure. However it good the follower broke now because we found that the guy did deck the heads flat like he should have. It actually looked like he just used a DA sander.

So with all that I just decided to have the shop pull apart the block again for piece of mind and we decided change rods out.... I've had enough shitty luck.
