Ok, more in depth ideas here.

- You can't connect the pass side to the TB pipe, why? because when you are in boost you will pressurizing the oil pan and all the sealing in the engine will suffer.

- You can't go with a mixed system, like keeping the driver's side hose connected to the intake and the pass open, because when you are at vacuum, the engine is using unmetered air that comes thru the pan from the pass side.

- You shouldn't add a PCV line to the compressor intake as you will end filling those parts with oil, no matter how well you filter it. Even less when you have a MAF downstream which its reading will be seriously affected when coated with oil.

- There are other ways to keep some vac in the oil pan, a venturi tube in the exhaust with a check valve, a vac pump.... they are usually not easy to implement or prone to failures some times.

- Having some vac helps ring sealing and has been proven to help (some, if not all) cylinder fill, compression, horsepower.

- Almost every built engine will smoke some, looser tolerances at build time will increment blow by.

- We do this to avoid having oil in the intake/combustion process.

Choose your poison.

Does anyone make cam covers that don't have a pcv built in them?

AFAIK nobody makes aftermarket covers except the super expensive Moroso.

I would do the work to the stockers, or if you are into the bling bling engine bay, take the opportunity to powder coat them (they need to remove the baffles anyway) and remove it in the process.

Mine are already bling bling lol

Supposedly they is magnesium on the metal which makes them hard to weld? I doubt my little flux welder would get it done.

Exactly my reason for keeping the factory PCV system in place.. All it takes is just finding the right catch can/oil separator that does an effective job in stopping crankcase oil vapor from re-entering the combustion chamber..

In the 4 months I've been using the UPR 4 chamber catch can, there has been no oil vapor from the PCV connector at the intake manifold whatsoever..

I also tried several different catch cans before finally upgrading to my current UPR separator and can honestly say with confidence that UPR did an awesome job with it's 4 chamber design and that it does indeed do it's job in trapping crankcase oil vapor..

With the factory PCV system, your not pressurizing anything by using just a catch can/oil separator.. There designed to function with the factory PCV system in place..

Also bear in mind that Saleen blowers are positive displacement types which have their own bypass valves that prevent pressurizing the crankcase when under boost..

I also use a one way check valve breather that replaces the oil cap which opens to vent the crankcase during WOT/boost.. Under normal driving conditions, the check valve stays closed just as a regular oil cap does..

Was that check valve breather store bought? Can you post a link for it?

It was store bought from CFM performance.. UPR also has their own brand as well.. Here's the link for the CFM baffled one way check valve breather below and also some pics from my car installed..

I think CFM Performance is the only one to build one with the check valve for boosted cars.
UPR does as well..

There is no oil on the driver's side breather because there is no vacuum source opening the PCV baffle in the driver's side cam cover.

One catch can needs to go between the driver's side cam cover port and the intake manifold vacuum port. A second catch can should be used between the passenger side port and the intake tube if you want to keep oil away from the intake tracts.

I know that about the driver side i just didnt know if the catch can would solve my isssue or not!

My suggestion is read all posts in this thread, you'll find the answers your looking for regarding running breathers and oil catch can/separators..

Just for an FYI.. You cannot run an open breather setup with the factory/closed PCV system connected.. It's either one or the other !

I'm back to both my passenger and driver side connected to a single breather can.

Gonna modify another set of cam covers I have and cut out the pcv inside the cam cover.
