As the title says of course...

My car is straight up fat. Only way to really put it. I'ma install the driveshaft and rest of CHE suspension next week. I'm still looking for some E.T. Streets as well if any of yall have some... Here's what I got going so far...

- C&L "Racer" Intake
- FRPP Delete Plates
- Steeda Pulleys
- O/R H Pipe
- SLP Loudmouth's
- FRPP 4.10 Gears
- Spyder's 1 Piece Aluminum Driveshaft
- CHE Tubular LCA's
- CHE Adj. UCA
- CHE Anti-Squat Brackets
- CHE Adj. Panhard Rod
- CHE Panhard Rod Brace
- CHE Driveshaft Safety Loop

After doing my tires, headers, and torque coverter...what else is there? Maybe get rid of the front sway bar and crossmember with the radiator delete? Beef up the rear end with some Moser Axles, Detroit Tru Trac, and girdle? Shocks/Struts and springs? I'm unsure of what to do or where to look. I'm just looking at places to help with my 1/8 Mile times mainly as thats the closest track to me, though Ennis really isn't that far of a drive and I haven't got to experience the 1/4 mile addiction yet...Hell someone teach me how to drive...even though it's an AUTO I'm up for learning anything. Any tips?

O yeah, no supercharger, turbocharger, nitrous, or major engine work yet. I'm just trying to build the proper platform for something like that in the future...distant future that is...

I think you have a non friendly track/location, or you have a problem to launch your auto.

2005 Auto With CAI, UDP, 4.10, Corsa Catback, 93 Bamachip Race Tune, Stock tire :
1.90 60"
8.26 1/8 <==
So 12.90 1/4

My cats are going down next friday , Pro Chamber on the way. Can't wait to hear that.

I know my driving is not perfect and the track is decently prepped and prepared. I have to launch my auto anywhere from 1100-1400 RPM so I won't spin. Any thing higher and I roast the hell out of them. Don't forget it's a vert, and they are a little bit heavier than those coupes out there...

Trust me, that isn't the issue. If it is the same two kids doing track prep this year at Kennedale as they had doing it last year, they take pride in watching people break axles and driveshafts.

You might be pleasantly surprised by the results of these three mods alone. If I was starting all over again with a stock auto car, the very first things I would do are:

CAI + Tune
Drag Tires
Converter
4.10s

After that, I'd decide between suspension or weight loss, depending on how the car performed.

Yup, the headers and converter are next on the list. I'm just stuck on why I should pay 900 bucks for a dang torque converter. I'm looking for a great deal on some headers w/ O/R midpipe right now! Hopefully when I finish up the stuff next week I'll take it to the track and see what happens...

If you put a converter you surely need some new sticky tire, or you'll have to buy some pirelli stock option to get the tire cheaper.

If you are already at an 8.68--then tires, converter, and headers should do it. I would get tires definitely before the converter. Long tube headers made a big difference on my car, although at the time I had nitrous so I probably gained more then normal because of that (.25 in the 1/8th).

What kind of headers are you running and why?

I was honestly set on some ARH's but aren't so sure of them now. I really want a "full" length set of longtubes but still are somewhat interested in the Kooks set up even though they are a mid length header. I've read and been told that Kooks and American Racing are hands down the best out there but have recently been told that Dynatech is actually a pretty nice set and I'm looking into those as well.

Don_W...Don't you have some Dynatech's? How are they?

Have you been under a rock for the past year?? Dynatech's cat is what failed and cost me a motor. And they kinda blew me off afterwards, so all I can say is...

DON'T BUY DYNATECHS!! :fu:

Do the driver mod and let Lostsoul drive it. Your car will be pulling low 8 (maybe even high 7!) 60's all night long.

What do you plan to replace them with when the time comes to get rid of them? Or have you already ditched them?

Definitely. I'm surprised more poeple aren't telling you the importance of rubber at the track. 1st mod to be on the list IMO.

I like Don's list for you. The L/T's will help quite a bit as well.

The headers are still on... no plans to replace them. But I "promised" the guys at Dynatech I would spread the gospel. Here is is again for anyone who missed it the first time.

I have been watching my cats closely. Matter of fact, I just inspected them again today before I put my exhaust back on (had the x-pipe off so I coud replace the trans).

If you plan on going with any kind of power adder in the future, go with the 1 3/4 inch primary pipe headers. I have seen the ARH long tubes and they look fantastic--I only went with the Dynatechs because I got them at a price I couldn't pass up.

Yeah, I'm pretty set on the ARH's but the price is killer. I've found a pretty nice set of Kooks for a damn good price and am waiting on someone to give me a call back on a set of used ARH's. If I can't get the ARH's I might just be going with the Kooks set up. This week I'm putting on the rest of the suspension, driveshaft, and ET streets then heading to the track on Sunday to see what I pull. Then comes the LT's and converter. I just don't know whats after that?

Got some more questions?

Any of yall beefed up your 8.8" rear ends? I know I'm no where near a bazillion RWHP like all you out there, but am working at it little by little...So what should I do for the rear end? Detroit True Trac, Moser Axles, LPW Cover (Does it work with the true trac), and thats about it...About how much power/torque will that handle? What else is there to do besides what I listed?
