Hi everyone, new Boss 302 owner here. There are a few things I would like to do with Forscan, such as disable TPMS, 1->4 skip shift, and catalyst efficiency test. Are there any Forscan decoder files out there? I'm totally familiar with Forscan. I programmed my Raptor with it. PFA

Have you looked at the forscan forums? I know theres a lot of info over there.

Also I wasnt aware the bosses had skip shift. The one I test drove didnt seem to have it. But it couldve been tuned for all I know.

Tpms, maybe. The rest no. Skip shift and catalyst stuff needs a custom tune.

Thanks dudes. FORScan forum doesn't have much content for S197, and the search function sucks. My car came with a SCT Livewire touchscreen tuner, and it was actually dyno tuned after the exhaust was installed. So I think I'll dig in with that. Track Key disables skip shift but skip shift is enabled with the std key.

I know theres a lot for the s550 on there, I figured there would be something for the s197. I guess you might have to make an account and ask for the best answer. As far as skip shift though cant it be unplugged?

The 2011 and 2012 Mustangs with the MT-82 transmission had the skip shift including the Boss 302. It wasn't until the 2013 year model that they dropped the feature, which the '13 Boss 302 inherited with much hurah!

Yes, disabling by unconnected the lockout solenoid connector seems to be the general consensus in the forums.

Good to know thanks. The Boss I drove definitely didnt have it, maybe the previous owner disabled it then. Its a pretty dumb feature imo, sometimes I feel like having 6 gears in my 17 gt are too many lol but I still dont skip gears. Maybe its because I wasnt taught that way I dont know it just doesnt feel right.

The Ford Racing tune disables it, if you're looking to keep it near-stock or factory original.

Im with you, there isn't crap out there for our cars and forscan. I'd love to have global windows down with the fob.

So far all I know is how to program keys and turn off TPMS. I WANT MORE!

On the catalyst efficiency question, (p420/p430 codes), as I have first hand experience with it.

Any changes that keep the check engine light from tripping with 420/430 codes will also keep 3 monitors from completing. Cat, o2, and o2 heater monitors will not run. Those will just stay incomplete. You may need to resort to extenders on the sensors.
