WELL..... I got it.
No problem.
Literally no complaint from TÜV.
He was so chill and talkative and really liked the car. I was so nervous in the beginning and and every time he said "xxxx looks/is really good" I got more and more chill myself. After everything was done and he told me I was the happiest man alive! Half a year of messing around and dealing with all this bullshit..... it was ALL worth it....
Also he didn't even notice the tow hook behind the front license plate bracket and after I mentioned it he was like: "Wow das ist ja wirklich komplett nach Vorschrift gemacht, nehmen wir auch gleich mit in die Dokumentation auf!" (Wow, that really is done completely according to the rules, we'll include it in the documentation right away!).
Front parking lights were the side markers used to be: compliant
Rear Fog where the left reverse light used to be: compliant
No punched in VIN: compliant
Yellow Turn Signals in the red housing: compliant
Sequential Turn Signals: compliant
EVERYTHING I DID: compliant
Only special permit is for the rear side markers.
I had to disable the seqential turn signals for now because of the yellow to red delay in the current LED bulbs I have but I showed it to him how when braking the middle and outer chambers yellow turns off and switches to bright red for brake lights and he said if I get bulbs with no delay I can turn it on again no problem.
Also the rear brake lights on the right started to flicker one time (WHICH DIDN'T LITERALLY 10 SECONDS BEFORE) when he looked over the lights but after he stepped on them again they stopped and I almost got a heart attack.
He was like "that was weird how they flickered" and I was just like "yea its all still a bit thrown together in there, gotta iron out a few rare kinks still since it's the first custom made like that and I just got it to work" and he just smiled "alright".
The wiring in the rear is currently a complete mess and just made to work for TÜV but over the winter I will pull it all out and make it nice. I'll either throw some simpler temporary wiring in there or put in the original harness (red turns) for the last two October weeks so I can just drive it without any worries of lights not working right.
The whole days leading up to TÜV were a nightmare.... had to redo the wires a bunch of times because problems came up I didn't account for, literally stayed up to 2am for everything to be perfect and work flawlessly. I then noticed the rear fog switch didn't light up so we took it apart to jury rig another LED in there and to top it all of literally the night before our guy with the red license plates was nowhere to be found and I had to somehow get a trailer and short term have my dad drive me since I have no license for trailers.
I still can't believe we made it.
Only casualty of all of this was the original rear tails (RIP, seriously fuck those polish idiots) and the front upper crash bar foam pice (that has GT stamped in it) which we had to trim for the tow hook and accidentally overdid..... There always has to be some loss.
Also the car rolled onto the trailer winch while unloading but it was only on the bottom of the front lip where it's already scraped to hell by the previous owner so.... meh. Probably gonna get a new bumper at some point anyways.
Whole rear tail light area is now full of scratches from all the million times I had to take out the rear tails, but all the paint and everything will be made nice in spring next year.
Also already have the eVB-Number aswell so on Monday we'll go get the plates for the Stang and hoepfully my buddys friends is cool enough to give me front and rear small plates.
Funny enough we got TÜV on 10/10 which is also the build date of the Mustang.
