I don't buy anything to "save it for the next guy". So I daily drive my '05. I do park it from late October/Early Feb until late April. Mostly because I don't want to drive it in sloppy slushy crappy winter weather. I may not save it for someone else, but I do want to keep it nice for me! LOL

Ahh I see where we differ now, i LOVE driving my car I don't see how I can ever get sick of it.
Believe me when I tell you there is no lack of fond memories lol.

I love driving mine as well, and also dont, and wont, get sick of it. But for me, I just find it senseless in my case to drive in stop and go surface street traffic risking crash damage from the mindless zombie, old fucks I have to contend with. I just dont see myself looking back years from now upon those "daily driver" trips with any kind of fondness. And any fondness would be wholly wiped out if I had a crash, ESP knowing I had a perfectly disposble car I COULD have been driving at the time of the wreck.

Cars are only original once. And while I have no notions of "collectibility" 20 years from now, no one thought 66, 68 or 70 Mustangs had any value at the time either. Shit, four eyed Foxes are gaining some traction in the market now, so one cant just dismiss the potential out of hand. With all those "daily driver" GTs having long since been worn out, discarded, wrecked, crushed, w/e, "just a GT" wont be common 20 years from now.

In addition to the aforementioned higher expense of fuel costs and wear and tear, since car shows and cruise ins are my "main thang" with this car, infrequent driving keeps it nearly show ready so I have very little work to do before heading out or upon arrival.

Finally, parking it at work would, at the very least, rapidly increase paint and interior fabric fade in the intense AZ sun.

Im not saving it for the next guy by any means, however, as I intend to die with the car. I said when I bought it Id go homeless and live in the car before I sold it.

And as far as chicks, for me, women and cars are nearly interchangeable, highly analogous within discussions. But, you cant "restore" yo bitch.

I may not save it for someone else, but I do want to keep it nice for me! LOL

/\This.

I daily drive mine. We had that nasty blizzard up here by the the Illinois-Wisconsin border. Dropped nearly 20 inches of snow. I work 2nd shift and we went in, but left around 8:30PM. I have about 150lbs. of tools and weights in the back of the car and drove 20 miles through the most terrifying weather I've ever experienced (and that's after having been through 3 hurricanes). At least 10 to 12 inches of drifting snow, white-out conditions, and 50 to 60 mph winds. I passed so many front wheel drive cars stuck in the snow that I just lost count. I've always been a fan of rear drive cars. You just have to have the weight in the back to make up for that fat motor in the front. Having a stick helped tremendously when I did get stuck. But, the 'Stang got me back home safe and sound(thank God) or I would have been waiting hours or days for someone to dig me out.

Just messing around with the camera this past weekend and this was as low as I could go. I'll get some more but I'll have to jack up the car cause I can't get underneath it as low as it is. LOL:crazy:

That would be cool if you ever think of it...I haven't done mine yet but i've contemplated it.

I sold my last weekend/track toy and bought my 09 s197. It's only a summer, nice day vehicle. Never seen snow or rain. Lives under a cover, almost half the year sadly.... God damn Minnesota.

I daily my paid off 02 focus haha, the 30mpgs is great for daily duty....

I had the factory all-season Pirellis on.

I've got the all-season Pirellis, too, and now I'm wondering if I should even bother with winter tires. I probably won't be driving in deep snow, but I'll have to drive on packed snow since my neighborhood hardly ever gets plowed properly.
