Buddy in Leesburg, Ohio e-mails me. He has a garage kept 2010 V6 mustang hardtop... with only 900 miles on it. He's gonna sell it. Pristine shape and just had the airbag recall done. Dealer freaked when they saw it only had 900 miles.

What's it worth ?

Just in from Buddy.
I believe it is what the called the "V6 Premium" model
Still original tires etc, color is Kona Blue Metallic, has shaker sound
system, XM radio etc, 18" polished wheels, we just replaced the battery
in October, other than that the only thing that's not original is the
oil and the oil filter, I have changed it twice, we also have NOT
drilled out the front bumper for the license plate.

It's only worth middle to high average for it's vintage. Which isn't much becasue the 5.0 came along as did the 3.7 and then the 2.3EB which annihilated late model used Mustang values.

What stkjock said. Now, if it is around and in the same shape 60 years from now and ends up like the 64.5 - 67 secretary mustangs did, you may have something.

2010 was a crossover year with the combination of new bodystyle but the older engine. Some may consider them the red-headed stepchild of the S197 world so a 2010 V6 won't be worth much.

I would contact a high profile auction company. Might ring the bell with the right exposure. Might not? At least you will find out what the market is.

Sticker price, mid $20’s, current value less than $10k. Just met someone here in Vegas that recently bought an as new, showroom condition, 2007 Shelby GT500, with less than 300 miles, for half of what the original owner paid for it new!

Maybe 10% more than the asking price of the next 2010 V6 mustang with the least mileage. Probably be a great deal for someone that wants a low mileage driver that is in pristine shape.

3.5 Ecoboost swap candidate......
Crappy thing is you can't re-use the transmission like you could with a 2011. The 2011 also has an 8.8 where the 2010 only has a 7.5 rear end. If you have to change all of that, might as well go coyote.

IMO, I would pay $12,000 and slap a Paxton SC on it for power gain plus a few suspension doodads.
I always wanted a Shelby Terlingua for track day events and this would satisfy that itch.

I would go with a Procharger and a custom wastegate system to get to my target boost sooner. But I couldn't bring myself to buy a 4.0 V6 Mustang anyway and then drop a few more grand to make it have acceptable power.
