Should be running in about 30 days and to the track in mid April, Lito has been put on notice for tuning and the ID2000 injectors should ship this week. I am starting to think about weight saving mods and loose the whole street car thing though. Recent events have mad me rethink what I want to do with the car. The end result is to go as fast as I can after all. I have a few decisions to make really soon. Should be a great year to go fast!

I really think you need to consider a different trans at this point. I believe you are going beyond what the 4R70W can handle and if you are thinking of going more race and less street, it really comes down to either a TH400 or glide. The choice between those two really depends on how light you can get the car if you do lighten it.....if it is 3500+ lbs I would say the TH400 but if you can manage to get the weight lower than 3500 then the glide would most likely be your best bet.

Thanks for the input. I will have to see how things go this year with the new power and the 4r70w first though.

I mocked up the crank, couple rods, and pistons tonight and am ready for the heads to get back here on Wed. so I can check the clearance with the heads milled down. After that I will know if the exhaust reliefs will be needed or not. I really don't think there will be a need since the heads are minus .020 and the head gaskets are .043 vrs the factory .036. If you look in the pics below you will see that the old -18cc pistons have a flat edge around the pistons the same as a flat top.

The reason I brought this up is for your safety...the last thing I want to read about is a crash from the case blowing apart on your trans and the fluid getting under your back tires on a high speed pass.

I've seen cars at the track spill fluid and wreck majorly...don't want to have that happen to you.

My last time at the track I had forgotten to tighten the clamp on the lower radiator hose! Well, it came off and I was looking at the wall from an angle I don't ever want to see again. Maybe a diaper or belly pan made from allum. is in order. IDK

Sounds spensive

Removing parts cost nothing... haha
