I did the Wallace Racing Calculater Compression Ratio Calculator and with 12:1 and 23psi boost and I guessed at the alt. of 400' comes out to
The Effective Boosted Compression Ratio from your Boost of 23 psi is 19.14 : 1
Now with 9.8:1 and say 30psi come out to The Effective Boosted Compression Ratio from your Boost of 30 psi is 17.01 : 1

That's a little bit of a difference. It may be to much for the rod bearings to handle.

Just thinking of things in my head. It will be interesting to see what you find.

Maybe, it will be interesting to see the guts.

So, looking at the log The car made 1.58 psi at 2500, then as I was reacting to the light made 4.53 by 3000, then 6 psi at wot. Then hit 23 psi within 1 second of wot!

I guess that explains the 1.31 60 ft on the foot brake at 2500!!! Lol

Would have been a really nice run to watch since I also had a .008 reaction time. It had to look fast as hell out the gate.

My D1SC is a piece of shit

Lol, it's all in the setup. Big stall, small pulley, = Fuck a twin screw. Haha

I'm joking, but I have never seen boost or power as fast as I felt this last weekend. And I have never felt a car hook on the road like it did in the video above. The SB gets changed, but all else will stay the same.

Okay so, the more I search the more I see everyone saying that the BigBore block won't handle 1k rw without these $2k main mods...

I am also on the fence about a stroker at 1k rw as well...

This '07 block in my garage is looking better and better...

Do I dare try a 304" boss with stock stroke and see what happens or rebuild as is (302" stroker) with out the crank support ?

I love the current setup, just done with motor issues.

Nothing will be done before the tear down.

Stock block/stock stroke. Let it eat.

I think you're suffering from overtrickitis. I suffer from it myself. IMO you should throw some basics at it and go have fun. You're on e85 and you have meth too right? So what if it make 30+psi of boost? I have a nutball customer running 35psi on stock head gaskets!!!!!!!!:helpme:

I sure hate to loose the cubes though. I don't have the meth kit on the car anymore, haven't needed it with the e85. As f or 35 psi, depending on his C/R, me may be at the same static CR with my fkattilop pistons and 24 psi.

Time to sell the procharger and do a custom big ass single turbo kit. You wont have all of the harmonic issues.

I don't think the harmonics are from the blower itself, but from the heavy ass mandrel for the crank support. I'm not doing a turbo kit right now. I just got my Procharger setup like I have always wanted it.

I wanted to go to 326" and it's looking more and more that I will need to go back down to 281" to make more power. Just dont sound right to me. What's next, stock crank as well? Lol

I liked my 323. I think it went great with the Procharger. But I wasn't anywhere near your power level or boost. I also only spun it to 6500rpm. The power fell off after that. I think it was due to the intake though. Some guys have made them live over 1k, but I think it takes some extra work to do it. Like O-ringing the block and using copper gaskets.

Hi billy.

Haven't been here a while. But I always check your thread.

Last time I was at the track I lost the block and heads due to high boost. Boost controller went crazy (45psi).

Had to get new Pistons. New block and heads.

Crank was hurt but I managed to fix it.

Knowing you have a supercharger that crank won't last for sure.

Now going diff rout. Hope it works out

All the best to you

Do you know of anyone down your way that has a Spin Tron. We have had a dedicated block for testing valve train problems. Learned a lot.

I really want the extra cubes! Just don't want to go to it and end up with the same issues.

That sucks, but 45 psi? You had to have been like, ahhhhhh maaan, oh what the fuck, 45 psi!!!! Hell yea/ naaa Lol

No I do not.

I'm leaning really hard at a stock stroke setup now. I just have figure out if it will be a big bore or the '07 block in my garage. That's 304" vrs 281" if your counting.

So, that said 304 stock stroke Big Bore at 24 psi, 6500 rpms, and 1k rwhp, on E85, with no main work...

Thoughts?
