Actually I had an S&W kit in my old 96 Vert. The kits are so cheap because the only bent bar is the main hoop and it didn't fit that well. Everything else is just a cut piece of straight pipe without any end notching. The mounting plates all have to be heated and formed to weld them in. It is fairly big job installing one of these it's not like the MM or Wolf kit.

Well their website says ... (copied from there)
6-POINT ROLL BARS Made from either 1-3/4"x.134" wall mild steel (EWS) tubing, 1-3/4"x.134" wall DOM (Seamless) tubing, or 1-3/4”x.083 Chromoly (4130) Tubing

And in the 2008 NHRA Rule Book at page 42 or 4:10 it says:
http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums/drag/90720-nhra-rule-book-pdf.html

All materials must be 1 3/4" O.D. x .118" mild steel or .083" 4130 chrome moly tubing

So far IMO its legal and cheap, and their mild steel is a tad thicker than the required by rule :omfg:
