I'm thinking of boring/stroking my motor. Or would it be smarter to find a pre-built 3v motor and swapping that in?

Currently have intake, long tubes, catted H pipe, exhaust and( soon to be installed) cams.
Also looking at an aluminum driveshaft to reduce drive train loss.
Anyone know if it's worth it to stroke/bore a 3v?
    Any tips you'd recommend?

Only reason I don't want to go supercharger is cause I know myself well enough That I'd keep boosting til I blow the motor. And then upgrade it and boost again til it blows haha. Staying N/A for that specific reason

I read somewhere that stroking the 4.6 to 5.0 is worth about 30-40 hp.

Yup. That was indeed your dyno chart and thanks for the info about the cams. Yours was the best N/A 281 3V combo that I ever came across.

Look up BruceH's build. He did a big bore stroker set up. He was also on E85. I like the big bore set up personally.

Even if he doesn't have E85 he can drop the compression and make use of the extra cubic inches. When mine was N/A it made around 320rwhp with a stock top end and "low" compression.

If you take everyone’s horsepower or torque and divide by the cubic inches of the motor mine was the strongest per cubic inch. The 127400 is a very torquey cam, even after I did put the 127500’s in, motor made more torque with the 400’s and only like 3-5 more horsepower with the 500’s. The power band was stronger with the 400’s

That's so true; 384rwhp/359rwtq from your 281ci N/A motor would be equivalent to 441rwhp/413rwtq from a 323ci big bore stroker.

I think Bruce was around 435rwhp. But I don't remember which cams he was running.

You cant get too much compression from a 3v, I'll be running 11.4:1 on 93 once my engine comes back from machine. You would be hard pressed to get 12:1 with our combustion chamber and even then the engine would be fine on pump gas
