Wow in that video you can really see how far he had the wheel turned. I have only seen the other one from the stands, where it was harder to tell just how far he had the wheel turned. But in ^^^this vid, you can really see it. Expensive mistake.

I've never done a wheelie in a car but I learned the lesson of if you do one make sure the wheel comes down straight. I went head over heels on a bike when I was young and learned from it

Cool--never saw that one. Yeah that was really bad. Holy cow. He had the wheel turned 180 degrees (1/2 a full turn).

Unless im blind I watched the wreck video about 10 times and each time the wheels are straight when he touches down. Then all hell breaks loose.

No pit video shows different but I wonder if the steering didnt break on launch

the wheel is cocked to the right here, which matches his hand as well.
Steering didn't break. (this is on the way down right before the car turned hard) First screenshot you're looking at the back of the tire, no rim at all.
