Worst motor grenade ever seen!

My buddy just installed an on3 turbo kit on his 05 3v, not sure what exactly he did but the result was mind boggling, in about one mile he turned all 8 pistons into a pile of debris! I'm talking windowing the block 6 times, huge chunks of the oil pan rails hanging on by the bolts only! I'm guess detonation?





Never seen anything like this in my life! All 8 simultaneously..bone stock 3v.

He said it hit 7 psi, I wonder what tune file on the tuner he thought was for a On3 kit?

I'm interested to see if it was just a canned Diablo tune for a supercharger or if On3 or diablo actually sent a startup tune for his setup to him.

you should have told your buddy not to drive it without a proper tune

That's about the same as I did to my stock block. The rods were all gone and replaced with metal shrapnel in the oil pan.

Tune was fine, no signs of detonation; it just gave out at high rpm, and the carnage was spectacular.

Ovesly 7PSI is too much for the stock bottom end to handle with a bad tune.
