I guess its time to update this thread. This last year I was able to get the car to a best of 9.38 at 146 mph with a 1.39 60ft. Then ran the gas tank low on fuel and leaned out the motor thus melting pistons yet again. Then after reassembling the motor in a couple weeks, I somehow managed to get a small ss bolt in the intake system post IC and destroyed the bank 2 pistons. See here if you haven't already.

So while the motor is out I decided to remove the N2O kit I have never used and go with a high compression build with a set of Manley flattop pistons at 11.6:1 and still run my 23 or so psi. on E85.
I also decided to upgrade the rear main (thanks againstallodds) to a solid unit by using a second full main bearing and cutting a groove in the block. I will update with installed pics when they go in.
I also will be o ringing the block with this tool from Isky Racing. Thanks to againstallodds again for the info he provided here.
Next was to make the heads breath better. I was very nervous about cutting into the heads but am very happy with the results. The are much larger then before and will hit a flow bench this week to be tested. No matter what they flow on the bench they will flow better under 20+ psi. Here is more info on the heads.

Now to make sure to never be fooled by my gas gauge again. I picked this cell up from a member here. it holds 12 gal. and is designed to use the stock style pump like the Fore billet unit I have now. I just need to do some testing to see if the sending unit on the passengers side of the factory tank needs to be installed in the cell to keep the use of the fuel gauge in the dash working correctly. I am installing the tank with the fuel pump at the rear and may move the filler hole to the rear if the sending unit needs to be used.
Looking for some 8.50s this next year if all goes well. That's it for now, I will update more as I go.
