Well I got it off the stand yesterday for the first time as a complete motor. Made a nice little shipping pallet to get it to the shop.

Also got the old pilot bearing out and new one in, if you have never tried it before and dont have a tool, try play-doh. Everyone thought i was crazy, but we're shocked when it came out no mess lol.

Tapped all transmission bolt holes, all crank bolt holes for the flywheel as well. Not sure how you guys do it but I prefer to use the shop vac instead of compressed air.. Step on a shaving at 3am and it will change your mind!

Thank about it, just counting down the days for the weekend to get it to the shop and dropped in!

Was using chains as my hoisting method, decided to get creative with it, fabricated a custom lift bracket and its adjustable.. Boom! Patent pending lol..

That looks great. I painted my last engine with blue tremclad. Maybe I'll do that again.

Thanks man! I didn't use tremclad, it's to expensive for something you won't see half of. I primed with some self etching, base coat of engine enamel grey, and then two coats of ford blue engine enamel. stuff has never let me down lol..

Ford sells paint? I'll have to look into that. I thought Tremclad was cheap... Heck I still have most of the can I used... haha.

Help!

Got to the shop earlier, started to put the flywheel on, the holes don't line up, I do know that the older style fords needed "clocked" but I don't think that applies to this. I have the forged cobra 8 bolt crank and the gt500 style flywheel/clutch I got from cobra1993 on here.

Any ideas?!

Been a crazy day and had some set backs, my question is though..

Where my finger is, is that where I should place the wideband or use the bung behind it. (Can't remember if I have room for it there though) since the o2's are shut off would it be easier to just remove the back ones or leave them in?

Looks like you have a third bung on the other side right next to the front O2 sensor. Or you can use either of the rear O2 sensor positions.

Alright everything is good to go, only one thing that's not right. the oil pressure gauge... The gauge when 12v is switched on zeros out, but when the car starts the gauge acts as if its pegged out and won't read. My grounds are absolutely perfect and everything else gauge wise works. could it possibly be a bad sender?

Oh by the way, car sounds mean but doesn't idle, since I went to a breather set up I forgot to plug the holes on the intake and the manifold, letting the car cool down to try again and if it runs by itself its going on its first drive. I did plug the holes so hopefully that was my problem.
