I have a forged motor the currently has a Paxton 2200 on it. Heads are stock and the pulley size is a 3.1" pulley. It's making a little less than 600 at the wheels. So, what belt size do others running a smaller pulley use and what brand/type? Also, suggestions on getting more juice from the 3V? I suppose heads are next in order but wanted to ask.

Thanks for taking the time-

Upping boost would be the least costly, new pulley and belt, I would not add more than 3 psi if on 93

Cams would be a good choice, however, I'd go stage 2 or more with new springs, you'll see much better gains, L&M Race Engines would be my suggestion for grind.

Three options come to mind.

1) Pulley down for more boost. This may pose new problems though with higher IATs so you may end up needing an intercooler upgrade. Which leads me to option 2.

2) Meth/water injection. This will help control charge temps which allows the PCM to not retard timing as much so you can get repeatable/higher power numbers.

3) Cams/heads. With larger head ports like you talked about, you will want bigger cams to push air through. This would be the most costly option, but may also buy you some time with the engine setup if you replace the timing components, valve springs etc at the same time.

If you can switch to E85 the power you seek should be there.

I made 587rwhp with a 1200, custom intercooler, and about 11-12psi. This was with 127400 cams, .030 over block, and stock cats.

The fuel setup was GT500 pumps and 80psi injectors.

Just the switch to E85 netted about 40rwhp with my setup iirc.
