Nice. Looks like you will be needing a full cage soon.
This winter.

Looks like that pass will move me to 8th on the 3v power adder and 19th on the over all ranking list here. Not bad for a little 3v...:evillaugh:

Here is screen shot of the 9.62 pass. You will see there is a little work that needs to be done soon. First is the RPM at the line, 7425 is a little higher then I want. First I am going to raise the 1-2 and 2-3 shift from 6950 to 7200 and see if that helps get the rpm at the line down to 7200 as well.
Next thing to look at here is the AITs. The meth kit has not worked as well with the 3.9 pulley as it did with the 4.3. With the 4.3 I had the meth kit coming on at 4 psi and spraying full at 15 psi at 20 psi. I called AEM this week and told them that my Boost Safe feature was activating at the top of 2nd gear and turning off the meth, they suggested changing the settings to 6 psi and 20 psi. I tried that on the next pass after my 9.62 and the AITs came down a lot in 1st and 2nd but still went to 140 in 3rd, so there may be an issue with the meth kit I need to investigate. I am going to check the nozzles, wiring ect. today and make sure they are good. If they are I may add a 3rd nozzle to the two I have now. Even though I am on E85 now, I still want the AITs to stay under 130 on a pass.

If the MPH through the traps is the same wouldn't the RPM's stay the same? Or is there some auto trans trickery I'm not hip too?

I’m not telling, I’m asking here.

I haven’t made the switch to e85 yet (this winter) but I have done a TON of background on it. At the end of the day the in cylinder temps are what matters. IAT’s are only an “indicator” of actual in cylinder temps. E85 cools so much better than gas that IAT’s with e85 can be 60-75deg higher (and that is still safe) and you will have the same in cylinder temps as gas.

I agree that in theory that a cooler IAT will make more power. But there is a point where cooler IAT’s don’t do any good. I highly doubt you could detect a power difference between lets say a 130deg IAT (as long as no timing is pulled) and a 80deg IAT.

For you it would be pretty easy to test. Raise your IAT/timing threshold to match the e85. 175deg is still plenty safe. Then make a run with meth and make a run without meth. If the MPH doesn’t improve with the meth the cooler IAT’s aren’t doing anything for you.

Just a thought.

I'm planning on running the IAT/timing threshold on my 2007 at 175deg on e85 and 26-27lbs of boost. On paper it's more than safe.........

I look at it like this for the trap speed, I have a non lockup converter, so my mph can vary a bit with rpm depending on load and slip. I am just testing to be sure.

I realize what you are saying about the AITs being able to be higher. I just don't want them to. One the last run above we did what you are talking about but not as extreme, I think we used 140. That is why the mph raised. The car was not pulling timing. More testing will tell the difference.

Billy was this on skinnies n fats or the 20s. I'm not sure if I misses it anyway congrats. Your car is definitely stellar cause it still looks good, the engine is spotless and clean, and u have a full nice interior. You should be proud.....even if its still just a 3v......

Lol jk.
