Got the replacement K-member and lower rad support cleaned and painted and ready to install. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What a fail on the part of the aftermarket. Since this is a separate panel that could easily be changed. It amazes me that no one addressed it. This is the one thing on the 13-14’s that I have always thought was a total styling fail! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So, you know how somethings are just too good to be true? Well, my latest order from AM is/was just that! But, I took a chance anyway and it was a fail on AM’s part. I knew it was a crapshoot to start and took the chance. Now I have a real conundrum on my hands! Here’s the story. When I purchased this car I knew it would need at least one, maybe 2 wheels. The right front was destroyed, the left front was ok. 20x10 rear, 19x9.5 front. I figured I’d do a little touch up on the rears and replace the fronts with 20x10s because I like a square setup. It has Black AM wheels so I start looking on their website the other day. I find 2 - 20x10 “open box” for $130 bucks a piece! That’s about 1/2 price. I decide to take chance and order them because worse case scenario they have a few scratches. Nope, not worst case! They came in yesterday and got to open them up tonight after work. The wheels are absolutely gorgeous, with only very minor blemishes on the back lip that will never be seen. However, only one of them turned out to be 20x10. The other one is 19x10! So, now I have to decide if I want to send back the 19x10 and get another 20x10 at full price, or visa versa. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes. Trufiber makes a smooth one: https://trufiber.com/collections/20...ang-carbon-fiber-lg148-license-plate-surround Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Thank you, that’s what I’m talking about! A little pricy for that little panel, of course it is CF so… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You call them up and get it swapped out for the correct one. They advertised the wrong wheel, its not your fault, its theirs. Tell the rep to open the replacement to verify it is correct. Now its an open box, problem solved.
Talked to AM today, they sent me a shipping label to send back the incorrect wheel and are going to honor the price on a new one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I got my second wheel in From AM yesterday. The open box deal ended up being a great deal. 2 brand new 20x10 wheels for a total of $266. Had a little drama along the way, but AM was great, customer service did a great job. Good thing I wasn’t in a hurry though. I will be running a 20x10 square setup on this car. Now I need to decide what size and kind of tires I’ll be running. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nah, I’ll be going square probably 295/35 all around. I run 295/40/18 on my 05 all around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Especially with a little camber. My 05 has coilovers and is lowered considerably. Even in bump while turning I have no rub. At this time the 14 has 265/45/20s on 18x10 rears ( flippin SUV tires)! 265/45/19s front(I think). EDIT: corrected tire sizes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
