I can't see spending the money to resleeve 4 cylinders but it may actually make sense depending on how the pistons look when we pull them.

Thanks for the idea!

When you resleeve, its the same as new, You cant tell the difference, its like a new block. $400 VRS $1000.

I got the 3:73s installed today and the rearend back in the car. That should give me a top speed of 155 to 160 in third. I also installed the BMR rear anti squat bar, just needs to have the tabs welded to the rear end. I gave it a fresh coat of paint and the calipers as well. Cant wait to get the block and heads back from the machine shop on Thursday!

Lol.. got my 3.73 back out of storage. Glad you get the motor back so quick, you must know someone to get work that fast! Took me two months but was during peak.

I should have my tranny back Friday... fingers crossed

Okay, the balancer is on its way to Inovators West to get a new hub installed. Also looks like the bearing in my crank support has a lot of play. That could be the issue with the hub. Going to look for a better bearing tomorrow.

This afternoon I cut down the crank support, it was a little overkill before.

Got bored with nothing on TV tonight and started the pass side transfer pump upgrade. I need to pick up some 1 1/2" SS wire loom clamps and some submersible fuel line tomorrow and then I can put the sending unit back in the tank. Then over the next two nights wire it to a toggle switch below the glove box.

That looks much better, not that the original set up you had was bad, just that now you should have more room to reach stuff and I don't think you lost anything support wise.

I don't know--if it were me I would just race with the tank full. All though that would be a PITA switching back and forth from pump gas to race gas, but since you are now running E85, you run that all the time, correct?

More room and the ac comp can go back on in the spring if I decide to. It is plenty strong, it is made from 3/8" 6061 alum plate.

As for the fuel pump, yes I am on E85 all the time now. Some of us still have a 4000lb car and would like to only run 1/2 a tank or so though.

With the transfer pump in the pass side it will be easy to confirm where the fuel is at. When I get to the track I will turn it on till it spins free. It is very easy to tell by listening to the pump when it runs out of fuel. Then I know what ever the gauge says is all in the drivers side.

He negated some of that with the cage and the car isn't running race seats or anything of the such. Hell..I think it even had a sub in the trunk

Car was 3860 with the 20" wheels, roll bars, sub in the trunk, n20 setup, heavy crank support, meth, Procharger, and no driver. That made 4060 lbs with me in it. I have since changed to the 15s so I guess it should be around 3960 with me in it now. On Nov. 16th at Texas Motorplex I plan a semi striped down run be fore the tracks close for the year. That's no sub, pass seat back seat ect. Everything that's not needed to go down the track. That pass if all goes well will be on 25 psi and a 75 shot.

Makes more sense now.. I was thinking you said 4000 without you.. and you must have added lead somewhere lol.

Same issue with mine. Heavy blower and intake, roll bar and all the crap that gets added on. Stuff adds up not to mention the heavy ass trans and converrter

Made some phone calls today. Block and crank are going to be ready tomorrow, pistons are going to be here tomorrow afternoon from Polydyn from getting coated, heads checked out good but took .005 off them to clean them up and make true , balancer with a new upgraded hub (twice as thick as the standard one that was on it) will ship tomorrow and be here Sat. IW is putting the second keyway in the new one for me as well like we did to the last one.

Everyone came through and did what I asked of them so far. Looks like its all on me now!

After MANY setbacks yesterday and a late start today due to driving 1.25 hrs each way to get a keyway for my crank, I made some good headway. I will put the covers on in the morning and drop it in.

And the, did I set the timing right photos...
