When I read this what stood out to me was 288 duration and 306 duration at 0.050". Which means the lifters move a few degrees longer than that. Ok, so here's what I thought of immediately. Cams only have 360 degrees total and out of that you are open 288 and 306 of those available degrees. Flip those numbers and the cam is only closed for like 72ish and 54ish degrees! damn.
Yep, but its a big motor (598CID) and we are spinning it high (we think 8200rpm or so, but we will see).
Where are your chassis build pictures? Specifically the 4 link . I searched.....damn phone.....lol. Looks good Paul!!!
Never mind, I found them. Ladder bars, thought you went 4 link.
Yeah in the end I decided on ladder bar because I know how to adjust that, where as with the 4-link there are so many possibilities for me to screw it up. I of course have already ran this set up with the old motor and it left nice and straight every time. Plus if ladder bar is good enough for this car, its good enough for me:
Here is a video of how it launches (old motor) with the ladder bar. There are some older runs on this video, but starting at 46 seconds and the next 3 clips is with the ladder bar.
