When I read this what stood out to me was 288 duration and 306 duration at 0.050". Which means the lifters move a few degrees longer than that. Ok, so here's what I thought of immediately. Cams only have 360 degrees total and out of that you are open 288 and 306 of those available degrees. Flip those numbers and the cam is only closed for like 72ish and 54ish degrees! damn.

Yep, but its a big motor (598CID) and we are spinning it high (we think 8200rpm or so, but we will see).

Where are your chassis build pictures? Specifically the 4 link . I searched.....damn phone.....lol. Looks good Paul!!!

Never mind, I found them. Ladder bars, thought you went 4 link.

Yeah in the end I decided on ladder bar because I know how to adjust that, where as with the 4-link there are so many possibilities for me to screw it up. I of course have already ran this set up with the old motor and it left nice and straight every time. Plus if ladder bar is good enough for this car, its good enough for me:

Here is a video of how it launches (old motor) with the ladder bar. There are some older runs on this video, but starting at 46 seconds and the next 3 clips is with the ladder bar.

So car is ready to go, just have to install the engine lol. New belts, net, cage re-certified, my competition license renewed, new wheels and tires, rewired ignition and changed fuel lines in engine bay (going from 1 dominator to 2 dominators).

I have since changed the rear tires to the M/T PRO 315s. I love having double beadlock wheels, makes changing out tires in the garage simple. No more visits to the tire shop. These slicks pictured above--I wanted to go with the largest tire possible for "No Prep" events, but they are a bit close. I would like more clearance so I may end up going back to the 29.5X10.5W. These are 29.5X13.50.

Paul, the car looks savage... I love everything about it, best of luck

Thanks. Hoping it will dyno 1200, then be capable of some 8.20s or 8.30s on motor.

Some build pics: I went with keyway lifters and bushings, Manton pushrods, Moroso external/belt drive oil pump, MSD belt drive distributor.

Right now (not shown, the above pics are pretty old), everything is being mounted to the motor plate and being set up (belt drive distributor, external oil pump, vacuum pump).

Looking good!

The 315 pro's are a bad ass tire, there is a little bit of suspension re-thinking going from the bias tire but I'm sure you will figure it out.

You going to spray this engine also or staying NA?

Getting closer, hopefully will be on dyno next week. * Will have the go pros video -- one hopefully right above the engine.
