Yeah. It's interesting to think that (what I feel) is a better engine would be cheaper. Supply and demand, I guess...This is a very similar build than what I was thinking! $$ factor made me lean towards 5.4 3v as well
Hahah, I'll post some up when I get home. We've all seen parts before. Show us some pics of the beast in your s197!!
The factory fuel system should be fine, but if you plan on using an aftermarket fuel system (which I think is billet), you'll need those parts to be coated. Lethal Performance does it.... not sure who else does.
Basically, the fuel rails, y-blocks, fuel pressure regulator and triple pump hat all needed to be coated. Maybe more... that's just what I remember, off the top of my head.
You could call and talk to Christy at Lethal. She knows all about it.

Ethanol is corrosive. You will have oxidized metal mixing with your fuel over time. I'm not saying it'll be like dropping an alkaseltzer in water, but it will happen.I've got plenty of friends that run E85 and I have never heard of this...
I do all my own install work (minus exhaust), but the kit is a modified version of the twin turbo GT kit sold at turbohorsepower.comLooks good man, I have been thinking about this swap as well. Are you building it or is it at a shop?
That'd be cool. Where do you live? I'm in the Banning Lewis Ranch area.If you need a hand on the weekends you can shoot me a pm.
