I'm looking to get an enclosed car hauler next spring. I saw Paul's new one that he purchased. Right now I am looking at a 32 ft gooseneck with a 24' floor and 8' riser. Here's what it looks like. Pretty basic with a few options. I'd like the gooseneck to possibly use the riser as sleeping quarters. I would however add a 30 amp panel and a few 110 outlets if I went with this option.

The other option would be a 24' bumper pull fully optioned with rubber flooring, upper and lower cabinets and white finished walls and ceiling. They are around the same price but I've heard the goosenecks pull a lot better. I'd like to see some of your set ups and what you like and don't like about the set up.
Also I will be pulling with an 07 F250 SRW. I already have a hideaway gooseneck ball on the truck.

Get the gooseneck. You will not regret it. I had a 24' Pace American, that was a bumper pull...pulled it all over the us, and really wished I had sprung for the goose. Pulls, rides, and maneuvers so much better.

Myself, I prefer the bumper pull 32' trailer I have. It still allows you to use the bed of the truck. I have a 12 F350 SRW and the trailer is a dual axle. I will see if I have some pics to post for you. I bought the trailer used and plan to give it new black aluminum skin this winter.

I have a few racing buddies that have the gooseneck setup. Bed in the riser and cabinets/bathroom on the main floor. No arguing goosenecks pull better. It just depends on what you need and what you plan to carry. I would go with 4 more feet vs whatever it is you think is enough -- because once it becomes too short you have to sell it to get a bigger one.

If you plan on having A/C and running a frig and other items you may want to look into the 50 amp package. The new ones are all coming with LED lighting so that is good.

Look at the axle ratings and GVWR of the trailer to make sure its enough. Even though they are more money, a fully finished interior makes the trailer so much nicer. On the awning, I just got a 10X20 EZ UP instead of the awning. The last two awnings I have had in the past just seem to start degrading and tearing after only 2-3 years.

I hate sleeping in race trailers because of all the fumes and chemicals.

A gooseneck sure does tow nice. That said my old setup, F-250 Scab 4x4 long bed with a 28ft bumper hitch trailer could be driven at 80mph through the mountains with one hand on the wheel while watching movies on the laptop sitting on the center console.

Another thing to keep in mind is with a bumper hitch you can be rescued by far more people then if you have a goose. And if you ever spring for a RV you won't be able to tow the goose.

I've scaled back in my old age. A 24ft'r with a bumper hitch is just fine for me. If you organize right you can pack up and haul the entire shop.

I am putting fold down beds on the side and adding some pit pal stuff.

You guys are making me consider bumper pulls again lol. On a bumper pull do you guys recommend a weight distributing hitch and anti sway or is that overkill for anything other than a camper?

It's not overkill at all, it's required as far as I am concerned. I had an equalizer brand rated at 10k lbs, then after weighing the trailer on a cat scale and finding out it was a good ton heavier than I expected, I switched to a reese titan that required a 2.5" receiver hitch on the truck, it's rated for 17k lbs. made a world of difference in stability and reducing sway. My 30' is the same brand as Paul's and similar.

I have no problem with 30A electrical, the RV generator I installed in mine is 120V/30A only, which made it lighter, quieter, and uses less fuel. I can still run the roof air, microwave, and every inside and outside light at the same time.

Or getting a basic 28' and finishing the interior myself. Not sure how much I would save but it would have to be a few $1000. Kind of like doing this.
